Two years ago when he and his mates represented Iraq, my lad was got honourable mentions amongst the Rotarians, and asked to speak at a conference. Today they were Germany’s representatives. Hope they did okay!!

Neighbours mentioned something about a booster … and the fact that the previous owner was a bit odd, so he might’ve taken a vital piece of equipment with him. But, hey, for the first time in twelve years I actually wanted to look at the telly!!

When we live out at the bush block, the kids will only be allowed to watch DVDs on bright sunny days when I haven’t used the washing machine ;) We’ll only be able to put in a little solar system to start us up.

The problem with dosh is not enough of it. Neither Mr Y or I have jobs atm, both doing full-time courses. And I’ve spent $11,000 of my house money on legal fees for sorting out Family Court stuff re Littlefella. Can’t get Legal Aid because we have Assets, ie the block of land and money to start building the house with. If we had already built the house and were living in it, we’d get Legal Aid, the system sux.

So we haven’t got the money to buy a decent house in town, haven’t got the income to repay much of a mortgage, got to build the teensiest house we think we won’t go mad in, and cut as many corners as possible. Need to use the money we have left to start building a kit home to lockup, move into it unfinished, then borrow money to finish it. Can’t afford rent plus mortgage, y’see. Can’t leave the rental until after Feral Teenager finishes high school in November. Catch more than 22!!

GTG, need to sit at the servo and wait for the troops to return. CYA!

Hello. Been reading. Up to date.

Picked a handful of beans today – amazing what happens to growth when you remember to water the garden. Too many years on tank water, see, keep forgetting we have a bottomless well on town water!

Mightn’t be around for a wee while. 9 1/2 hours of TAFE tomorrow, then leaving Thurs after school/TAFE for the long Easter weekend.

Oh why do I drag my family off visiting ‘lations?? I don’t want the stress of packing – especially planning a separate bag for overnight in a smoker’s house, plus linen for a loaner holiday flat. And in between the two, a night on a blow-up mattress which means I’ll end up waking up for Panadol or Nurofen (depends on what I remember to pack) at 2am and spending the rest of the night on the lounge.

Oh well, at least the kids will enjoy hanging out
(1) with the grandparents
(2) with the cousins
(3) at the beach

I’ll just remain the grumpy old fart who says “no, we can’t afford it” all weekend.

night Pepe…i think this forum server/script/other is sometimes a bit slow on loading a page, in comparison to some other forums. some other forums also exhibit this problem, especially forums that have a lot of customizable personal preferences.

you need like a download manager program to queue up the downloads one after the other…so they’re not all trying to download in parallel, which would be very slow. a download manager can also restart downloads of partly downloaded files.
