Right then. So, according to the references, none of the tomato types I’m growing should grow higher than 150cm. So my staking system should be fine….except most of them are now taller than me and taller than I can hold my hands above my head….so sell over 2m. Just planning a taller staking system for next year. I think we’ll go out to our bush block and harvest some of the dead and dry blackwood saplings from the fire years ago (many of them are still standing there, they’ll never be hollow for habitat, sometimes we take some for firewood). We should be able to get lengths 8ft to 10ft long. I ought to be able to do a substantial frame with that. The two crossed stakes at each end with a length through the middle works pretty well – except in a year when the plants grow too much…
