Subject: Loose tea leaves - uses?

I thought I’d ask here, rather than in the Holiday forum.

(First of all … greetings! This is the first time in months I’ve been able to poke around this forum. I trust everyone is well.)

I have a friend who works in disability services.

She says “a wonderful and $$-challenged client keeps giving us boxes of loose tea, instead of tea bags, to use for morning tea. And before I can get to them, staff open the boxes so we can’t try to return or re-gift these donations.

So I now have two big boxes of loose tea leaves we can’t use at work (very few people drink tea), and I won’t use at home (I’m not allowed tea any more, and I’m the only tea drinker)…

Any idea what I can do with them? Can I scatter them on garden beds in mulch? I know I can use 2 cups of strong tea, instead of coffee, in my honey cake but that still leaves me with heaps of leaves…”

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi AussieDJ. Very quiet here these days. You could try at a charity or an Op Shop – not to sell but for the volunteers use. Cheers.
