Are you running W10? If so:
press the “windows” key and the ‘r’ key together; this should bring up a “run” window;
type “regedit” in the text entry field and press return or click the “OK” button. Click “Yes” if the UAC window asks for confirmation;
In the window that pops up, click on the arrow head beside the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” entry in the tree pane;
Expand the “SYSTEM” entry (by clicking on the arrow head beside it,) then clich the “MountedDevices” tree entry;
In the right-hand pane, scroll to the bottom of the list, select one of the phantom devices (it’ll be called something like “\DosDevices\D:”,) and press the “delete” key (on the keyboard). Confirm that’s what you want to do in the dialog box that pops up.
