I noticed at Bunnings the other day that all the quick set concrete was gone… I suppose there’re going to be some stuff sitting around houses for some time.. beside that.. there was cement and there was concrete..I’m no concretologist so what’s the diff? finish, usage, mix?
cement is what goes into the mix to make concrete. concrete has aggregate + cement. aggregate can be sand, small rocks gravel etc. and water.
then you have mortar which is cement + sand. Or you can have lime mortar which doesn’t have cement but lime. this is very soft and must be “struck” to make it water repellent.
actually I did notice that one one of the mega bags that were left .. the two suggested uses were mix with… to make cement and mix with.. to make mortar.
right, so let’s say that DV was going to make some outdoor furniture that would me in the full weather and he was going to use forms to mould them.. would he use cement or concrete?
