I have developed some kind of chest cold ijn the last few days, and am very keen to not pass on to Mrs S anything which might possibly delay the surgery.

I’ve seen the GP, who has diagnosed it as some sort of viral thing, and given me drugs to suppress its development (not ‘cure’ it).

I wear a mask almost continuously while getting about the house, and, as that makes you aware of your potentially infectious state, also when i go to the supermarket and similar. Hand washing is currently a staggeringly frequent activity.
