I broke it, sorry.
In order to breathe some life into the forum, I’ll regale youse with my trip to the Redcliffe Show.
It wasn’t busy when we got there, so we got a parking space close to the gate. First thing we did was see Mini Me’s school display. Pretty cool, I’m glad it won first prize.
Then we wandered for a bit, most of the stalls fell into one of three categories: stuff they bought on Temu and selling for a premium, 3D printed/Cricut stuff sold for a premium, crystals. The food trucks also sold mediocre food for a premium. Surely the biggest grift in modern times is the tornado-style potatoes selling for $10 each. You’re paying ten dollars for one potato.
Looked at the prize winning plants, cakes, and needlework. The pot plant which won first prize was a pot full of snake plants. It takes zero talent to grow snake plants.
We hung around for the reptile show, which was the highlight. Her diamond python was beautiful. Mini Me wanted to go on a ride but I was well over it so I waited in the car.
