Good morning everybody.

Here at Rainbow Beach right now, it’s almost clear, calm, 14.7° C and 77% RH. Forecast is 26° C max and no rain. It’s a gorgeous day.

During yesterday’s cleaning up, I found a small cache of very tarnished old coins that I’d found in the yards both here and in Brisbane. I partially cleaned them a bit with vinegar. My fingers now smell of copper. Anyway, the silver threepenny coins (1952, 1955) cleaned up quite well.

I found a cache of SD cards, one of which had photos of a Two Fat Ladies dinner.

Mrs V’s low kJ day today: fend for ourselves individually for breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be mashed potato and longevity spinach, smothered in a Chinese-style turkey mince sauce. Breakfast will be some leftover rice and vegetable-pork sauce on toast.

Today: continue cleaning, maintenance, reorganising etc, and a couple of trips to the tip to put stuff into recycling. Actually, the weather is good, so a bit of pressure-cleaning might be in order in the middle of the day, too. I’ve already refilled the bathroom “liquid soap” dispenser, and made myself a cup of tea which I will have when it cools a bit. But first, I need to measure and record my blood pressure and weight, etc.
