Good morning everybody.almost overcast,, calm, 14.6° C, and 76% RH, heading towards 27° C with little chance of rain.
Smoke alarm keeps going off for no good (smoky) reason. I suspect insects. Annoying.
It’s gone off several more times. The last group was fifteen lots of three ear-piercing screeches.
Looks like I might have to get the tall step ladder and air compressor over from the garage. I am not looking forward to this at all. Ladders don’t mix well with lack of balance. The smoke alarm is a bit under 4 metres above the floor, I think. In any case, it’s a long way down from up there.
There’s no fire and no smoke, but there are some tiny (< 0.5 mm across) flies around. I suspect one has gotten into the smoke-alarm sensor’s air gap. If I can get up there and blow some air around, I might just be able to blow it out.
However, I’ll leave it a while and hope the insect (or spider) goes away.
They often screech and carry on because the battery needs changing.
Only if they haven’t had battery removed and been disabled.
