You know your supposed “12 month electricity plan” that expires every 12 months.

Well I got a 5 page letter from Origin Energy telling me they’ve chosen a “plan for me”. Gone from 38c kWh to 43c kWh.

How anyone is supposed to comprehend (am I’m no stupid) what’s in that 5 page letter, BFIIK. Specially those with literacy issues.

Nowhere in that 5 page letter does it tell you how to pick a different plan. They’ve made it that complex, in the hope you just say “fuck it” and throw it in the bin.

This was all supposed to be “easy” for the consumer

Go to Origin Energy website and it tells me to fuck off that I have “cookies turned off”. I don’t.

unirregardless, we thought the flip side of all that was that the power companies will try to grab customers from each other so they’ll make it super easy to switch suppliers even if it’s hard to find a better plan with the same supplier
