They can turn that on/off I suppose when wholesale prices are cheap. I have one of those “smart meters” that is controlled remotely. I can look at my Origin Account and see how much lecky I’ve used so far today, if I need.

That’s $0.15c kWh for “off peak”. Charge this bill? $13.80.

I have a little switch with a LED light in it in the kitchen that tells me when “off peak” is available. I can turn the power supply to the solar hot water off, if I want to.

It’s not on ATM, cause I suppose everyone’s got the aircon on. It got to 39C here today.
