Supposedly these two famous pictures of “Earth rise” were taken from “the Moon” on December 24, 1968.

The Moon is tidally locked to Earth. How does the Earth “rise” in these pics on the same day from the same location(give or take a few hundred meters)?

…unless they were taken from Moons orbit, and not from “the Moon” as Wikipedia would have us believe?
