The recipe says ‘mix these dry things’ and ‘mix these liquid things’ and ‘then gradually stir in’ etc.

Bugger that. Dry things mixed, wet things in on top of them, then into the saucepan with the melted butter.

Stir until thickened. Results: excellent.
