No rain expected here til Friday at this stage. Today’s a top or 29, with a few days of low 30s, culminating in 34 on Thursday. Friday is back to 20s with rain.

My pond has a garden umbrella over it to cut down algae and evaporation (somewhat successfully). Whilst I was topping up the pond yesterday, I mused that in another five weeks or so, the pond won’t see any sun until September. Instead of daily toppings up, it’s once or week or so. Although, if it’s windy, water from the fountain splashes out so topping up is more frequent.
