I do recall watching him play cricket when I was a child or young teen.

One of those strange occasions where I heard of him before I ever heard of the breed of the same name. Never had dogs growing up, so never got into the learning of different breeds. They were not really much of a thing when I was a kid either, don’t recall anyone having a dog of that breed. Nowadays they’re everywhere.
