Perhaps they did just chuck an incense stick on the fire. Which reminds me…I haven’t burnt incense for some time. I used to light a stick in the kitchen at Casterton when I went over there for gardening. Mr buffy doesn’t like the smell. I do, I like the sandalwood ones (never liked patchouli at all). However, now it’s been brought back to my attention, once we are out of the fire restrictions ( posted for 1/5/26), I could light a stick outside the window of the library/office/sewing room and I’d get the drift without the complaints.

Sandalwood is a nice smell
The Bodyshop had/has a male scent of Sandalwood

I have a bough of sandalwood. It’s about 1.2 metres long and about 70-80 mm wide at its widest part. I intended to make drinks coasters from it. I’m not sure what to do with rest. I collected it from the bush a few years back. It is now thoroughly dry.

Years ago (around 50 years ago), I had a piece about the size of a thumb, that I kept in my desk drawer to sniff. It smelt lovely. I somehow misplaced it.

I had a nice bit of small trunk, bought it from a wood specialist. The father of my sons was buying wood for making musical instruments. All the pieces had the name of the wood and date harvested written on the end. I have nfi where it went.
