yesterday some jerks smashed the car window of one of the carers and stole her bag (that she stupidly left on the front seat). So the lawn was full of those squares of glass that the windows break into. I was worried that dogs or kids (but mostly dogs) might hurt themselves with all the glass left on the front lawn.. so I went out and started to collect it by hand. My across the road neighbour saw me and loaned me thier old wet dry vac – which made the job go much faster. SO there I was vacuuming the lawn like an idiot.

Of course I know that I didn’t collect it all and someone or something will step on the one peice that is left behind – but at least I tried to be a good neighbour.

Maybe you remember Ruth Cracknell, Maggie from Mother and Son? She was seen hoovering the front lawnspace.
