Went for a walk. Saw a kangaroo chillin in the sun and an ibis atop a sign. The name Bayevue comes from a pumpkin and tomato farm which used to cover my neighbourhood 100 years ago.

Looks like the pumpkins are still in control.

The dude who owns the house behind me when I took the pic plants sunflowers every year. Sticks a sign on the sign saying he’s watching – do not pick or destroy the sunflowers or he’ll get you. It’s actually my favourite house in the neighbourhood. Probably the most expensive too. Overlooks the wetlands.

Back when we first came here, After the house was built the front yard was all dust. I planted Helichrysm and ‘tourists’ from town on Sunday drives pulled up and started picking flowers. Told them I planted these and I want them to stay here.
