Rabbits, yes. Hares, no.

Rabbits are nonreportable. If one was to have one as a pet, and take it to the vet, the vet does not legally have to report it. Ferrets are reportable, for example.

But isn’t it a $65,000 fine for having a pet rabbit in Queensland?
