All Biden had to do to ensure that Kamala Harris win the 2024 elections was to stop sending bullets and bombs to kill children in Palestine. Biden chose funding Israel over saving America.
Biden sabotaged Kamala Harris whilst exploiting the hopes, dreams and aspirations of generations of Black women. He may have broken Dems in the same way as Trump has demolished the Republicans.
Both Republicans and Democrats conspired together to use the neoliberalist Poverty as a Policy Choice for the last 50 years. Now 70% of Americans are living pay check to pay check. They work 2-3 jobs over 6-7 days and they pay rent and skip meals so their kids can eat.
It’s heartening to hear that you’re so pleased with Trump’s second term that you no longer believe the Democrats would have done better had they won.
Trump’s second term has been utterly devastating. I am not pleased at all. I can’t sleep at night for fears of what might happen. Trump is however using Biden’s policies in Gaza, some of which Biden couldn’t quite pull off.
Harris gave a 10-minute speech to a Zionist Supremacists about ensuring that Israel was supported throughout the next 10 years. She made her position and commitment clear. No commitment to health care, enough food to eat or education for Americans.
If Trump was so bad, then Biden could have stopped sending funding to Israel every 36 hours. Biden could have stopped sending bullets and bombs to kill children in Palestine. Biden had that choice. He chose to fund Israel over saving American democracy. The Democrats chose this, right along with the Republicans.
Harris let Republicans on the stage at the DNC. Dick Cheney’s daughter, Liz Cheney, (who lied about post birth abortions) and Adam Kinzinger on the were welcomed on the stage, but the Palestinians were not. AOC got up and lied that Biden and Harris were working very hard to come to agreement, which was called out by Ilhan Omar. And Prof David Cay Davidson was reporting Netanyahu was sending bags of cash to support Hamas to sabotage the two-state solution.
Those Dems that can’t address and stop a genocide are also quite useless in attempting to prevent the end of American democracy. They are not stepping up to meet the moment.
Pelosi chose Connolly, who had throat cancer, which he died of and missed a crucial vote (4,000 followers) over AOC (20 million followers) and Pam Dingell over Jasmine Crockett. I had never heard of Dingell and I have never heard of her again since she was announced having the positions. So the Dems are not even pretending to fight back.
The “I’ve Had it” podcast talked at length that no white Southern ladies would ever vote Democrat or for Harris, because they had grown up with these white women, and one of them was once like those Southern white women.
So Dems could have tried outreach to their Dem base, but they didn’t. Trump will be worse was what was shoved down folks throats, without being listened to.
Genocide or genocide is not an option.
Not being Trump is not good enough.
The Dems decided they were owed votes and they failed to access their base, who sat it out, is something I hope that the Dems will address. But the report is being kept secret.
If a Jewish Holocaust survivor says, “You vote for Harris and the genocide, you won’t walk in my house again!” Well, that has an impact on younger antigenocide Jewish family members. Jewish families have been ripped apart by the genocide.
If 60 or 100 of your family members died under Biden, how can it be worse under Trump? Trump can’t kill your dead family members again.
70% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. They work 2-3 jobs over 6-7 days. They pay rent and skip meals so their kids can eat. If you can’t afford a $500 medical emergency, if you are one missed shift away from homelessness. Then voting is out of your reach.
It is frankly terrifying Trump is back in power. It is quite possible that life as we know it on earth might end quite quickly. But Biden had choices, he could have acted to stop the funding to Israel. Harris would have won. Biden made a choice. The Dems made a decision not to reach out to their base.
You obviously frequent far left echo chambers where conformity is more valued than rational objective debate.
Biden lost because of the increased vote of Latinos and African Americans for Trump and the Gaza war was not a deciding issue for the overwhelming majority of Americans and didn’t affect electoral college votes except perhaps in Michigan with its high Muslim population.
In no way am I claiming that Biden was perfect: he should have stuck to his plan of serving one term and passing on the baton in an open race for the candidature for the Democrats.
However we do know what Trump has done that the Democrats wouldn’t:
They would not have weaponised undocumented immigrants and caused fear in blue states the country over amongst hard-working mainly Latino communities and seperated families and even sent American citizens into central American prison systems let alone authorised hit squads that led to the death of 3 US citizens by ICE thugs.
They would not have funded tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations by cutting the SNAP system that provides cheaper food for millions of poor Americans.
They would not have been manipulated by Netanyahu into starting the latest crisis in the middle east which has not only held the world economy hostage but also just rewarded Iranian hardliners and resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars a day to Russia to continue their war in Ukraine that would have remained a Democrat priority and not the afterthought it is under Trump.
As for claims that the Democrats historically are just as bad as Republicans for the working class:
Democrats have consistently advocated for a higher federal minimum wage and have legislated as such in blue states whose government they control.
Democrats legislated Obamacare which provided better health insurance outcomes for millions of uninsured Americans despite the opposition from Republicans in the thrall of private health care corporations.
Finally Democrats have consistently advocated for workers rights and the union movement that protects worker entitlements in the face of a rush to the bottom under Republican administrations.
Now clearly the Democrats aren’t perfect but this started when I called out people who claim they’re just as bad as Republicans. As you can see that is clearly not the case.
