Um…a quick Google and yes, vets have to report pet rabbits.

In Qld:

Petting zoos: no rabbits

Magicians: no rabbits

Animal therapy: no rabbits

Meat industry: no rabbits

You can buy rabbit meat, by arrangement with your butcher, but none of it is produced in Qld.

Something had to be done, there were…………too many rabbits in Queensland.
