A better night’s sleep last night. Where “better” means I went to sleep “reasonable hour” according others. The younger people in this house spend too much time worrying about me being awake until the early morning. Then dozing on and off in Lorelie a few times during the day. I explained that I don’t have to go to work anymore and I’m fine.Anyway, I was entertained by a “ceiling show” performed by two small spiders. Little cuties. Then I read for a bit, listened to my Calm sleep relaxation thingy and slept like an appropriate normal person
my mum is a night owl, has been all her life… even now in her retirement she will stay up until the wee hours and sleep in and have an afternoon nap… good for her… if she wants to live her days that way, who are we to say other wise?
mind you she does not live in my house, but I suspect I wouldn’t care how she runs her days even if she did, as long as it didn’t interrupt my day.
I’m not noisy. I avoid going down the hall to the kitchen, as their bedroom is next to that part of the house. Some nights I would really like a cup of tea etc, but I don’t want to disturb their sleep. Son gets up at 430am and my daughter-in-law uses ear plugs because he snores. I have unpacked my insulated coffee cup and my thermos, maybe I can make some black tea before bed and have a picnic in my room?
Could you have a kettle and a small fridge for milk in your room?
