In no way am I claiming that Biden was perfect: he should have stuck to his plan of serving one term and passing on the baton in an open race for the candidature for the Democrats.

However we do know what Trump has done that the Democrats wouldn’t:

They would not have weaponised undocumented immigrants and caused fear in blue states the country over amongst hard-working mainly Latino communities and seperated families and even sent American citizens into central American prison systems let alone authorised hit squads that led to the death of 3 US citizens by ICE thugs.

They would not have funded tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations by cutting the SNAP system that provides cheaper food for millions of poor Americans.

They would not have been manipulated by Netanyahu into starting the latest crisis in the middle east which has not only held the world economy hostage but also just rewarded Iranian hardliners and resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars a day to Russia to continue their war in Ukraine that would have remained a Democrat priority and not the afterthought it is under Trump.

As for claims that the Democrats historically are just as bad as Republicans for the working class:

Democrats have consistently advocated for a higher federal minimum wage and have legislated as such in blue states whose government they control.

Democrats legislated Obamacare which provided better health insurance outcomes for millions of uninsured Americans despite the opposition from Republicans in the thrall of private health care corporations.

Finally Democrats have consistently advocated for workers rights and the union movement that protects worker entitlements in the face of a rush to the bottom under Republican administrations.

Now clearly the Democrats aren’t perfect but this started when I called out people who claim they’re just as bad as Republicans. As you can see that is clearly not the case.

It is curious that the voters are more to blame than the actual President of the United States.

Biden had all the extra super-duper powers that SCOTUS gave Trump, he could have acted to save America, and the bottom line is that he chose Israel.

Yes, I have been in those left-wing echo chambers of folks who do phone banking and door knocking for different American candidates, and many, many, many more Americans signed up to help, because they were terrified that Trump would get back in. And folks they rang told them they would not vote for a genocide. I followed those threads with interest. I have also been emailing and texting with American & Australian Palestinians, Muslims and Arabs, some who did vote for Harris and some who didn’t.

When the antigenocide Holocaust Survivors made it very clear if anyone votes for Harris, given the genocide in Gaza, they were no longer welcome in their houses. These things have impacts.

If folks turn up to your rallies and tell you that they won’t vote for Democrats unless the genocide stops then yes Dems needed to pay attention to that.

You are right Biden lost because of the increased vote of Latinos and African Americans for Trump because the Republicans did the outreach and did in language advertising. The Dems just expected for folks to vote for them. The Republicans had a good ground game. However, after saying that, 92% of Black women voted for Harris. 80% of Black men voted for Harris.

However, the fact that Dems won’t release their autopsy on why they lost the 2024 elections does make me curious as to what they are suppressing. It is widely speculated that it shows that the genocide lost them the election. I can’t see any other reason why they would suppress their own research which is meant to assist in winning the next election.

Dems have a vote Blue, no matter who, until Mamdani. The one person who said he would do what you encapsulated as the Dem values.

Democrats have had 50 years in which they did nothing for workers and used the neoliberalist “Poverty as a Policy Choice”. They had times when they were in power and failed to act. Sure, they sometimes say the right things. When it came down to it, they didn’t do it. Few voters in America believe the talking points you covered. Time and time again, Dems have failed to act. Pelosi never stopped insider trading.

That’s a major reason folks stay home, neither party offers them anything substantial.

And if Biden knew it was going to be this bad, use the SCOTUS powers given to the President or all he had to do was to stop sending bullets and bombs to kill children. If he had done that the voters would have turned out. Biden chose not to do this, and it is curious that the voters are more to blame than the actual President of the United States.

So, I respectfully disagree with your assessment. The democrats mouthing platitudes but shifting the right once they are back into office. They don’t deliver their election promises. No one believes all those talking points anymore. It is even pointless to repeat them. No one will be conned.

Running on “Better than Trump…” was not a smart strategy.

The Dems aren’t even really trying to fight back against Trump. They are using none of Mitch McConnell’s strategies. Pelosi gave Connolly the job over AOC. Connolly had 4,000 followers. AOC had 20 million. Likewise, the Dems gave Pam Dingell the job, over Jasmine Crockett. I had to DuckDuckGo to find out who Dingell was. If it is an existential crisis surely if you are taking it seriously you would put your best fighters out front? Dems haven’t.

Biden sabotaged Harris whilst exploiting the dreams, hopes and aspirations of generations of Black women. He has destroyed and fragmented the Democratic Party in much the same ways that Trump has. America has been broken and both the Reps and Dems did it together.

The Israel lobby controls both parties. Both are under their influence/control and exist to do the bidding of Israel. The Israel lobby is the deep state.

Biden was clearly gaga towards the end of his term and had no real idea what was going on. The whole administration was a charade trying to hide how bad he was. Not an environment for good policy making.

The complete dehumanisation of Palestinians, Muslims and Arabs throughout the world is very concerning but in Australia is chilling. So many elderly women no longer going shopping because of verbal and physical abuse. Women being rung and told to work from home due to increases of rhetoric and rises in attacks. I don’t talk with folks anymore and rarely see folks, but I do text and email. What folks are going through is scary indeed. It’s not reported in MSM, so the majority of Australians don’t know.
