I’m going well – just cant sleep! Main thing happening in my life is dad has dementia and I moved him from Adelaide to an aged care facility in Canberra. I go in to see him every 2 to 3 days. He recognises me – but he hardly leaves his room.

Sharkboy – now 26 – is living with his lovely girlfriend . He is doing his Phd – supposed to finish it this year – he wants to be a lecturer at the ANU in music/jazz.

I was sorry to read that you are having a pretty crap time -sending you virtual hugs.

Dementia is so tough! Bill’s Dad, who I called,, Papa Bear, had dementia. Dementia care is so tough! It is demanding. Feeling for you! It is great he recognises you. Sad that he doesn’t leave his room much. Dementia is a tough journey! Indeed!

Thanks for the virtual hugs! Much appreciated! It has been a bit of an ongoing change.

One of my best friends died. So that really shook me. I hadn’t seen him or talked to him for the longest time. I just hadn’t been thinking contact with anyone. So wanting to connect to not miss out on folks. We’ve also lost so many forumites! So sad.
