Trump saw a building on Fox News, didn’t like the color, and now he wants to destroy it with “MAGIC PAINT.” I am not joking.

The Eisenhower Executive Office Building is a national historic landmark sitting right next to the White House. It’s been there for over 130 years. Never been painted. Not once. Under any president.

Trump caught a glimpse, decided he didn’t like how it looked, and has been pushing a plan to coat the whole thing white using something he literally calls “magic paint with silicate.”

Magic paint. I wish I was making this up.

Preservation experts reviewed the plan and found the paint won’t even stick to granite — the chemistry is completely incompatible. And to force it to bond, workers would have to physically grind down the surface. Permanent. Irreversible. Impossible to undo.

Over 130 years of history, potentially destroyed because nobody told him no.

And they skipped the environmental review, skipped the public notice, and skipped every consultation required under federal preservation law. Two preservation groups had to sue just to get a hearing scheduled.
