It says, ‘please excuse Spalding’s absence from the forum. He wandered off, and some kind people found him, and called the police. Apparently, he had found his way to the aerodrome, and was watching the aeroplanes. He had missed his nap, was tetchy until he’d had a little sleep’.

My excuse is that I was at work. With the fuel crisis and all that we have dropped to a 4 day week to save everyone 1 day’s commute. But we are working longer hours to make up the time, and I’m not used to it yet. Only 90 minutes but it makes a big difference to my routine.
