Ha ha. :) the original bottle of wine you purchased for $20 did cost roughly something less than $2 to produce and ship.
The customer is being ripped off ant both ends. This is capitalism unchecked.

Is it just because they have to have writing on it that says it’s eligible for a refund?

Also, wine here in the Margaret River region is around $8-10 a bottle to produce and ship.
