Mrs V walks to the shops here. I don’t walk to the shops, but should I need to go, I drive as an add-on to another driving need. We go to the main supermarket about once a fortnight, because it is a 60 km round trip. We may now go less frequently.

We save fuel by driving carefully and choosing to do many jobs at the same time when one has to drive there.

so now if you buy twice as much as before, to match going to the shops half as often, your strategy would be considered panic buying according to the jokers addressing the country

We even plan where we will buy (generally Ross Creek or Gympie) and we always fill the tank completely. We can get well over 600 km per tank.
