Bonus photo of a detail that I added to the mass-produced hardware store cupboards. Hardware store trim painted with a milk paint and wiped to remove excess. mr kii made the shelf brackets and we had some beautiful wood shelves from quality slabs we bought. I pained them using various methods. All to move away from the look of a hardware store flat-pack kitchen.

I think there were more added touches, weren’t there? I remember photos.

I remember photos too…..one of a lovely rubbed back wood finish that had several colours in the grain especially caught my eye.
