Mr buffy put World Movies on earlier and they were playing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It reminded me that I went to see that for a school friend’s birthday party. We must have been 9, I guess, if it came out in 1968. We rarely went to the movies. We were taken to the drive in sometimes. Mum always mentioned that we (the children) were so bored watching Mary Poppins that we packed up and went home partway through. But that would be her fault. We were taken to see The Lion in Winter and Age of Consent, so she set the bar high.
