Alleged:Theory claims that on August 12, at exactly 14.33 GMT (9.33 ET), Earth will lose gravity for seven seconds.
(Confession; I deleted A bizarre conspiracy)
How far would a human float in those 7 seconds before the Earth’s gravity kicks in again?
The hypothetical human is outside and untethered.
Is said human on a trampoline?
Launching vertically upward just at the start of the 7 second period could provide an unfortunate altutude problem when gravity switches on again.
OK for those humans who happened to have just reached maximum vertical velocity on a trampoline when gravity was switched off, it could be a bit of a problem.
Those who had just come off the end of the ramp on a ski jump might have a problem as well.
