Michel Lotito (French pronunciation: ; 16 June 1950 – 17 April 2006) was a French entertainer famous for deliberate consumption of indigestible objects. He came to be known as Monsieur Mangetout (lit. ‘Mister Eats-All’). His digestive system allowed him to consume up to 900 g (2.0 lb) of metal per day. He started eating this unusual diet at age 9.Lotito’s performance involved the consumption of metal, glass, rubber and other materials. He disassembled, cut up, and consumed items such as bicycles, shopping carts, televisions, beds and a Cessna 150, among other items. It took him roughly 2 years, from 1978 to 1980, to eat the Cessna 150.
Yes, heard of him before. Apparently he was awarded a brass plaque by the Guinness Book of Records, but he ate it.
I remember a guy becoming popular when I was a kid.. he would swallow light bulbs and then regurgitate them. He would also do things like swallow sugar and then drink water, then bring up the sugar dry… he could compartmentalise his stomach apparently. which he allegedly learned to do as a child by swallowing his pocket money so it couldn’t be stolen from him, then regurgitating it when he needed to use it.
I can not remember his name, nor do I know what happened to him.
