Cochlear investors are licking their wounds today. The stock price is down 40% as of 12:30pm AEST. Earlier today, the hearing implant maker cut its earnings guidance for financial year 2026 due to lower demand, higher costs and an unfavourable exchange rate. It cited the Middle East conflict as an ongoing concern.

I wonder how many shares Mrs V’s friend still has. (She was the founding CEO for a few years. Took it from a 20 cent company to a many tens of dollars company – IIRC ~$60.) Mrs V stayed with her for a few days over the weekend.
