Jared is influential because he and Ivanka have more brains than the rest of Trump’s family, Trump’s cabinet, and Trump’s White House staff put together.

Admittedly, this is a low bar, but it does mean that Jared is the one who’s best able to manipulate Trump to benefit Jared’s own agenda.
