I just use a standard 6 plug board. I always want each plug separately switched. What is a whizz bang powerboard thingy? The ones I’ve bought have all had surge protection for many years now. I thought it was just normal.

The brand is the bit that I wanted advice about.
Son#2’s powerboard has extra added bits, or something, he bought it for his gaming life. Cost $$$.
I like the idea of individual switches too.

I recently bought four of these for our guest bedrooms. Arlec, 4 individually switched wide-spaced outlets. I have a cheap K-Mart Arlec 6V/12V car battery charger that is still going after about half a century, so that seemed like an OK brand.
