I recall reading in design magazines 20 odd years ago they suddenly seemed to be a fad among hipster designers.
I haven’t heard of it. Quick google shows it is a rotary screen printer. so you would make your screen the usual way, either cut out stencil or photo etched stencil, but unlike usual screen printing you do away with the solid frame and wrap it around a drum.
So it’s like those old Fordigraph/Gestetner machines?
similar in that a stencil is used. later gestetner were litho based machines, fast but horrible to operate. good luck doing multi-colour prints that had to register.
