Nope! They don’t attach to the steel structure. :)

Oh they’re definitely holding things up! Not the arch, not vertically anyway. But they’re holding up the deck, and the approach spans, and they’re providing lateral stability to the TOP of the arch, which is also critical.

That’s two engineers vs one pilot :)
