I have been organising the first leg of my trip to Finland in January…
after a flight to Helsinki I will be taking the night train (otherwise known as the santa train – or some such shit) to the Lapland location where I will start a bucket list activity…
dog sledding – we spend a day playing with bonding with our dog team, then the next day we set off for a three day trek through Lapland (and hopefully I will get to tick another thing off my bucket list the northern lights) , then another couple of days doing day treks.

Then I will figure out the final week later.. if I don’t get to see the northern lights during the dog sledding leg, I’ll try to catch something then, otherwise back to Helsinki eventually to fly home.

I had no other option to fly home apart from going to Heathrow then back to Perth.. (going there is a Singapore stopover)

unsurprisingly, the flights that stop in Dubai were much less expensive, but I’m not doing that.

Did not know flights are still stopping over at Dubai.
