We built a tank stand, and he bought a 1000 gallon tank to go on it. He ordered a fuel truck to fill it up, and by the time it was empty, it had paid for itself due to the increase in price.

I don’t have a large enough tank at my (rented) depot to do the same.

And don’t get me started on the lack of an industrial area in this town. Fkn ridiculous that the “Future Industrial Area” that we’ve been waiting for for 35 years, has just been signed over to “Residential”.

Drivers are bracing for more pain at the fuel pump as the federal government’s fuel excise cut comes to an end. The excise, which for months was reduced to mitigate a fuel price spike, will return to its normal amount at midnight on August 3, adding 16 cents per litre to wholesale prices.

Well, my earthworks quotes for the last several months have had a proviso that this quote assumes that the price of diesel is below $2/Lt at the time of earthworks. Otherwise a diesel fuel surcharge applies.

disclaimer we’re not pointing the finger at anyone here and we get that there are instances where carrying flammable liquids around with a vehicle may be the best known solution to energy supply

we’re just sceptical that it’s the best solution in a majority of cases but yeah we haven’t transported a majority of Australians around Australia so we wouldn’t know
