This year’s results are encouraging. More than 60% of Queensland students achieved a proficiency level of ‘strong’ or ‘exceeding’ in Reading and Numeracy. Queensland also recorded its highest participation rate across all year levels since 2019—at 92.2%—with Years 5, 7 and 9 all showing an increase in participation compared with 2025. While overall results were broadly consistent with last year, these areas of progress are positive and demonstrate the sustained effort of staff across the state.
