Oil refineries chew through massive amounts of electricity. As they begin to shut down that’ll free up a quite a lot of power.
Also, people with EV’s mostly charge them at home from their own solar panels, so yes there will be an increase in the amount of electricity used but not in the same rate as EV ownership.
It’s not going to be a problem.

Ummmm….. Mr Norman……… we don’t have any (maybe one) oil refineries. Aluminum smelters use heaps. We have a few (small ones) of those, hey what but.

It’s still not going to be a problem .
