Today was one of the first times that I have been in and around Bridgetown when it wasn’t on fire. Been there many times for that reason. Pics available on request.

It’s kinda pleasant there in winter, if a bit cold. Their common nickname is Fridgetown.

It’s also very hilly. Not the kinda hilly that some of the eastern states towns have with snow on, but definitely the kind where if your truck is 4 tons overloaded, you need to go down one gear to make it up the hill. We pulled around 500 tons of excavation from site up the hill and dumped it some paddock nearby(not my site, not my problem, do as I’m told). Meanwhile, another two trucks are carting sand into site as we made space for them to dump.

The builder has fucked up and is behind schedule, this has made things more difficult, as we need the cavity fill concrete to cure before we can infill behind the fresh retaining wall.

So I don’t need to get up in 6 hours and go back there.
