it takes about six weeks for lime and organic matter to work its way into the soil so if you intend planting sweet peas this march/april then prepare your soil now.

a self sown sweet pea has already popped its head up in my old patch.

A good reminder there Pepe. Every year I think I want to grow some sweet peas but I always leave everything till the last minute and miss out.

I saw sweet peas seed packets in the shops yesterday……. love them and the smell reminds me of my Nanna:)
