They could make them transparent, that might help.

We are humanist towards robots, we seem to like them looking humanoid which might be impractical.

Would I trust a white lap top more than this black lap top?

Do you know how difficult it is to get electrical appliances in non-standard colours? I had enough trouble getting a fireplace that wasn’t black or stainless.

lot of cars on the road are white i’ve often noticed

there are some practical reasons, like it’s easier to see in low light (mostly), cooler in summer, but there’s another reason..

it’s a color (or not-color) you don’t have to think about, so’s choice-effort-neutral. Probably considered pure in some way.

White is the sum of all colors.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White

In 1666, Isaac Newton demonstrated that white light could be broken up into its composite colors by passing it through a prism, then using a second prism to reassemble them.

An ironic observation.

In that white is the sum of all colors

Someone being racist towards someone of brown color

While the color brown is a part of pure white.

Pigments are different to light. All pigments when added give you black because it reflects all colours equally IIRC. Listen to Boris.

sun too middle of the day, nasty fucker doesn’t like being stared at, doesn’t like eyes that way. Has more general misanthropic tendencies, like heatstroke, melanoma, and global warming. You could go further and blame it for bushfires, biogenesis and evolution. And that’s just a taste of the troubles within earth’s atmosphere. I bet there’s more mischief beyond.

and then there’s darkness, like under my rock, it’s black, makes no difference if my eyes are shut or open, other than of the latter the drying and I still need blink.

on a more serious note, the instincts of man going way back have been involved in steering selection. You could egalitarian that to death, try, it’ll go underground. It’ll find expression in a flash car, or house on the hill, or private school, and perhaps unquestionable right-thinking ideas. Worldliness even.
