:) Thought I’d pop my head in to see who’s watching.
We saw it! Mini Me has been very excited about it all week.
She’s really into astronomy lately. We got a book from the library called Stars and Galaxies; already she knows the names of all the planets and that we live on Earth 🌏

And because we were travelling into the West, got a good view, between the patches of fog. And watching for roos and wallabies.

There was too much cloud here all night.
Mist it but Mars is the closest it’s ever been to earth, eva.
Saw lots of moonlight here at 2:30 am. Figured it had to be close to full.
I got up to have a look, but it was too cloudy.
While I was asleep the moon light went over me.

During a lunar eclipse, most of the light illuminating the moon passes through
the stratosphere where it is reddened by scattering. By the time light finishes
its trip to the moon, only longer wavelengths, like red, remain. This is why the
moon turns red during an eclipse!
“Skywatchers around the world have witnessed the longest “blood moon” eclipse of the 21st Century.
The “totality” period, where light from the Moon was totally obscured, lasted for one hour, 43 minutes.”
