I don’t think so, elevation change in relation to the surrounding area for body size

Interesting. I think this research is very preliminary. They controlled the study by only burying the bodies at .60m, they located the bodies in a controlled environment where wildlife or other human interference would be limited. The results are solid in their experiment and, after variation testing, it would be an interesting addition to the multifaceted approach required for effective body location.

yes they did
“For the immediate study area, including human graves, the control plot, and undisturbed surfaces, we derived our final data products by subtracting a later elevation image from an earlier elevation image. Each of the post-burial elevation images was subtracted from the pre-burial image, and the same operation was performed for each logical post-burial image pair, for a total of six elevation change images”
