Well I never thought it would make it to Luckyland, but it has.

Tomorrow is the big day…… when I get to go and listen to people I have been watching for years.

I get to see my 2 Idols … Peter Cundall and Josh Byrne …… who needs those so call Hollywood hunks when I can see these 2 wonderful gardening gurus.

Gee hope I sleep tonight……….

Just my sister & I going, elf isn’t over his sore throat and it causing problems with his asthma.

Now lets see….the list:)

  1. Batteries charged….
  2. Camera card checked and the 528 MB in ready and cleared….
  3. hair cut and washed……
  4. glasses cleaned…..
  5. book in enviro bag for Uncle Pete to sign…..
  6. Photo of me holding Josh’s photo printed off…..

Okay think that is everything…….. gee hope I don’t forget to take myself after thinking of all the above.

i might meet you there lucky – i presume if i find josh i will find you.
my checklist-
- half a bag of neutrog fertiliser over shoulder to disperse crowd and attract sophie
- pants with braces to look like pete
that should do it.
i notice they have a garden/ kitchen stall – so how come the GA forum doesn’t have a cooking topic?

Was there plenty of room to move there, Lucky?

In Brisbane our first one was great – at the showgrounds but next time they crammed it into a small space in the Convention Centre – a totally unsuitable venue and also the programme was immpossible – there no way you could hear all the sessions you wanted to in a day – a short day at that. As for getting a seat at any of the presentations – forget it! And my favourite stall Green Harvest – part of my reason for going was to renew my seed stock – didn’t participate the 2nd time. They strated too late in thje day – 10 am I think but there was such a line-up to get in that it took another 20 min or so to get through the door – even with pre-purchased tickets I think and on the final day ended at something like 3pm.

I took some photos – and Pete’s vegie beds were well set up. Won’t go again in Brisbane unless they change venue back or at least to somewhere with room to move..

Same here! Knowing how good it was at the show grounds made the last venue ridiculous. The small venue was crowded and hot and I can remember thinking..I just want to get out.

Same here! Knowing how good it was at the show grounds made the last venue ridiculous. The small venue was crowded and hot and I can remember thinking..I just want to get out.

In the photos I posted, was there enough room like that at your last years expo???

Yeh, I remember being a bit put out when I eventually had to shower after me and Horty got that picture with Josh grin

(although don’t get me started on the time I missed seeing Ioan Gruffudd in London sniffles)

MrBL saw Adam Ant in London and I’ve seen Mark Lee.

A little hard to say because I never got a clear view of anything like you did. The venue was definately many many times smaller and all under one roof which made it seem crowded even if there weren’t as many people in attendance.

At the show grounds it was good because they used lots of the show buildings for their displays and there are wide walkways between the buildings.

I don’t know…… lol

When Peter announced he was retiring….. I started to clap in appreciation of all his years of gardening…. 1 other person started to clap and next thing Peter said…… “Yes there are people who will be glad to see me retire” By the time Peter finished I was red faced with my head in my hands and Peter was stirring me…… saying “oh the poor girl is mortified”

Told him the clap was in appreciation not happiness his was retiring…. LOL

reading about your visit to the expo and your blog on it is great Lucky :)
Interesting about the bugs too as I have aphids galore on my lemon tree but I also noticed a couple lady bug’s and a small preying mantis on it , so I’m leaving nature to do it’s work , whereas normally I would have squished the aphids :D
Good reporting :)

yes I thought it was interesting about what she said about squashing aphids, as that is what I usually do. Guess I will have to keep my twitchy fingers off them from now on, lol!
