Assuming it doesn’t hit anything on the way through:

The speed differs from the speed of light by just 4 parts in 10^11, so the main source of error is the diameter of Earth.

The diameter of Earth varies from about 12,713.6 km to 12,756 km. Speed of light is 299,792 km/s.
12,713.6 / 299,792 = 0.04241 s
12,756 / 299,792 = 0.04255 s
