Thanks PM…… I loved how they had the lighter leaf as it was just out of the soil. Beautiful day for a walk too.
I’m looking forward to just heading out the front gate for a stroll or a ride…

nice idea – and shots – that volcanic weed certainly is lifting the ground
Not hanging round…very sad… Banjo died yesterday before we went out for mother’s day lunch.
She’s buried out the back next to my ginger cat Madeline.

no, she was an adult duck when Pat bought her for me. She lived with us for over 5 years.
I’m so sorry to hear this Lucky1 :(

well we know she couldn’t have had a better life anywhere else :)
Oh dear. A long happy life at Lucky’s luxury farm, what more could a duck ask for.
All good things must come to an end, she had the best life a duck could have.
R.I.P. Banjo.

Oh no! Not Banjo. Very sad for you Lucky1.
I am out of it! I didn’t know Madeline had passed away…well Banjo put in a good innings for a duck, she was a good “worker” and she’s gone to a well-earned rest…

I found some triple curl seedlings of parsley in and around the lettuces Pepe came and planted for us:D
I don’t usually fair very good with parsley seedlings. Maybe I was pulling the plants out before the seeds had dropped enough around to share between ants and me.
Yes I get a little impatient as well LOL
Guess who’s been playing out the back….lalalaallaaaa
Been making compost and stuff…..

The bloody tripehound’s chewing on a bit of Malayan rubber sap. Get it out of your mouth, you bloody banjo player, you don’t know what Hong Kong coolie’s pissed on it!’ Never once was the abuse taken personally.
ROTFPIMP
Yep naked chooks….. only a farmer could love them.

Then there is the tripehound as defined by the ‘urban dictionary’.
‘Akin to the swamp donkey but with a verocious appetite. Can eat one potato more than a pig. ‘
ROFLMAO. Some people have nothing to do.

My dad always referred to nonsense as ‘tripe’. We were talking tripe or the Government was going on about tripe. Very descriptive I thought.

my father always liked tripe and he ended up cooking it for himself – although in the end i think it was just tomatoes and bread. mind you maggie beer did a ‘bread and dripping’ on her show and all these meals can be made into delicacies. the old fashioned ‘real’ dripping was fat from roasting the lamb and had terrific little bits of meat in it – hence it was sought after.
Pepe we are so enjoying the lettuces you planted for us……. just so yummo. :D
Broad beans are going great but something ate the other plants including the peas:(

fresh lettuce is great here too – plenty of it – and if you can’t eat it all – the chooks will.
birds are wiping out my barley crops – ah well – you win some and lose some.
its a bit cold now for planting – and the weeds are rampant.
