Subject: Ants in worm farm

Haaaaaaaaalp!

They were there this morning, feasting on a couple of my hard workers…I have hosed the farm down and the ants are desparate to move out…

The bottom level looks oK, crowded with worms ATM, but!

Problem is on second level…

I don’t know how they got in but that’s not the point: I want them out before I bring the farm in (along with my adenium obesiums) to the back deck for the winter…

Oh no :( When we had an infestation, we basically just “annoyed” the ants out.. made a few exits for them, stirred them up and watched them leave.. Not sure if Lucky or someone will have a better method?? Ours was probably not a huge infestation..

Thanks Bon…I’ll give them an escape route…they were really only on top of the cardboard: the further I went into the wet muck the more worms and less ants there were…this morning there appeared to be very few of them, so I’ll keep an eye on it…meantime I am soaking a fresh piece of cardboard for topping on the second level…
